An obstructive airway refers to any condition or obstacle that hinders the normal flow of air through the respiratory system. This can include anything from a physical blockage, such as an object stuck in the throat or nose, to conditions like asthma or chronic bronchitis which cause inflammation and narrowing of the airways. In all cases, an obstructive airway makes it difficult for a person to breathe and receive enough oxygen, which can be life-threatening if not addressed promptly.
